If everyone receives Minimum Basic Income, what happens to all the relationships where one of the individuals no longer has to depend on the other(s) to survive?
Just let that marinate for a moment.
Not just the economic landscape but the social landscape could be transformed.
Not for nothing, but this is literally part of the entire point of Universal Basic Income.
When abused people can just literally walk away, knowing they can still have enough money to live, the world will be a lot less sheltering of abusers and that is a massive fucking benefit.
It gets better than that, if we go with my ideal UBI scenario, in which we peg UBI to “enough to live in any major metropolitan city in the country” and do NOT adjust it for cost of living.
Suddenly, the poverty and scrabbling for survival of rural areas? Gone. That UBI will go a whole long fucking way out there. Suddenly, people who had to move to the cities to get jobs that paid enough? Can afford to move back. Heck, they can afford to get decent fucking broadband out there and continue working, just, not in the city. Suddenly, people who live in rural areas but want to move to the cities with like-minded people? That’s affordable, too. Suddenly, people who want to have a bigger house, but are stuck in a tiny apartment in a city? They can afford to move out to where there are bigger houses.
Universal Basic Income would realign our whole damn society, and I think it would long-term be for the better.

a post apocalyptic town is unquestionably reliant on a mysterious figure in a cave to discern whether or not their food is safe to eat. if you’ve played honest hearts you may be familiar with story of randall clark, which shares some parallels to this episode.
tranquility lane was heavily inspired by this very famous episode, where a mysteriously omnipotent child has eradicated the entire planet and eternally tortures the family members he’s left alive.
an eccentric millionaire lures three people who he believes had wronged him in the past into his underground bunker to convince them the world is ending and manipulate them into apologizing to him.
another iconic episode, this time a heavy allegory for red scare paranoia in the form of a street-wide blackout that escalates to extraterrestrial hysteria.
the personification of fate gives a down-on-his-luck man a magical six-shooter that turns him into the fastest gunslinger in the west - with troubling consequences. big iron fans will like this one.

Also, please don’t forget to draw fat necks. When I search for fat art, oftentimes the lack of a fat neck makes a character not look fat anymore because the artist basically just drew a skinny person from the shoulders up.
A resource I suggest is fatphotoref. You can also look at fat positive blogs for tons of photos and drawings that can help you learn how fat bodies look in different poses. Tags you can search on this blog include fat art, fatshion, fat athletes, and fat masc. Those tags are probably the best if you’re wanting to use fatphobiabusters for pictures to help you learn how to draw fat people. Another tip I have heard a fat artist mention before is if you are fat yourself, use yourself as a reference photo. I hope this helps!
